My friends and I were so happy that day when the embarrassing incident happened. We were window shopping at a mall in Roswell when the accident occurred. We had already been to several malls and department stores near Carlsbad, in places such as Artesia, Loving, Vaughn, Encino, Dexter, Hagerman, and Hope before we arrived at Roswell. We often do this kind of window shopping every month but that day, things were a bit different. I was feeling a little dizzy after a few hours of driving when we got to Roswell but I did not want to disappoint my friends by telling them that we should go home.

The accident occurred while we were in the home appliances section. I really can’t explain how it happened but I must have bumped into one of the microwave ovens with my hand bag. The oven fell with a loud and embarrassing crash. A security guard instantly appeared and I tried to explain that it was an accident but he led us to the office of the store manager. There was no way out of it. Accident or no accident, I had to pay for the damaged oven. I could not use my credit card because I had maxed it a few days ago.

My friends lent me some of the money to pay for the microwave oven but they said that they needed the cash within three days.
