I had been saving for so long to buy my girl a lovely diamond ring that she yearned for. When I proposed to her months before, she told me that she would answer yes only if I gave her the diamond ring. She was not after the expensive ring to begin with. Her reason was simple but made a lot of sense. She was testing my patience and sincerity. Not giving up on the challenge would show her how much I really love her. It also gave us time to know each other better and adjust to each other’s temperament.
